Math
The students are finishing their unit 9 unit. This unit reviews fraction,s division based word problems and multiplication. We have integrated the assessments into our Math MAP practice so they students would not have to take a unit test during MAP testing. Once MAP testing has concluded we will begin unit 10 with homework.
Writing
The students created their own Lego figure this week for writing. They are wrote a narrative story to accompany their original character.
Science
After finishing our economics unit, the students have shifted back to science. this week we learned the origins of Earth Day. We have also been learning about the recycling process. Students have learned the steps of breaking down recycled trash into something useful.
Charging Meals at Lunch
Beginning May 1st, we will no longer be able to “charge” meals, milk and/or juice. Everyone must have enough in his/her accounts to make purchases for that day. An alternative lunch will be offered for those that do not have funds in his/her account.
