We have practiced working with partners.

We created artwork to match our ocean theme by recycling old cds and creating fish.

Our class voted on our favorite writing hearts. The students filled their hearts with things they loved, favorite memories and places they have visited. We had a tie so they week we have two winners, Olivia and Lauren!

The students also completed their first science journal entries

This week we also started our everyday math routine. The following are the goals we completed this week:
I  can complete number sequences.
I  can count correctly by 1s and 10s.
I can correctly solve a number grid problem.
I can make your own correct number grid.

During Reader's Workshop this week the students practiced the following skills:
Picking a just right book
Reading with a partner
Each students read with me
Our first meeting with our first grade reading buddies

We had a productive and fun first FULL week of school!

Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Ray
