Reading
The students are working with determining importance of non-fiction texts. This week we read and practiced collecting important information. The students also were able to share their facts with their classmates to compare and decide which facts are important.

We have also began our preparations for the MAP test. This week the students learned helpful test taking tips. Each week the students will practice and develop different skills which will help them with the MAP test.

Book Reports
We have completed our last book report for the year! Due to the snow days the fantasy book report will be the last book report for the year. The book report will come home with your students book report next Friday.

Writing
This week the student finished their persuasive food writing. The graded final copy will be coming home with their grade cards next week.

Next week we will learn how to incorporate non-fiction facts into our writing.
