Every Monday and Friday they will switch to their word work rooms. Tuesday-Thursday they will practice their words in our classroom with a partner from their group.

Reading
The students worked with their non-fiction books to determine importance. Each students was given a non-fiction reader, which they shared with a small group. The students looked at text features to collect interesting facts about their books. Next week we will continue to work with determining importance. We will also work with fluency by reading poetry and reading in pairs.

This week the students worked with doubles in multiplication. We also practice recognizing how multiplication facts are used in everyday life. We will continue to work with multiplication next week and start connecting multiplication to division facts. We are also continuing our Friday multiplication times tests.

WritingThe students completed their five paragraph essays this week! Today they were able to read and share their essay with the class. The essays will be displayed in the hallway to show off their hard work.
